Tried uninstalling Citrix workspace, rebooting, re-installing multiple times....but still not working correctly.
company mandated update OS update for security fixes... anyone else having issues with Citrix workspace? thoughts ?

yes, a few days after reporting this, Citrix released a new version if Citrix workspace for Mac (2108) that specifically addressed the issue mentioned. I am currently using 2108 and it has resolved the issue mentioned.

Did this get resolved for you? I've been having the same problem, uninstalled and reinstalled workspace and nothing helps.
after Big Sur 11.6 update my Citrix workspace no longer working correctly
