Apple pay not working on iPhone 6s plus

Hi there,

Apple pay has not been working on my iPhone 6s plus since July. I need some advice on what I can do. I have been an hour long call with Apple support, gone to the store (genius bar) as well. I am on iOS 14.8. Here what I have done so far:

1. Reset the settings multiple times
2. Backed up my iPhone and erased all content and restored it (with and without iTunes) multiple times.
3. Installed latest version of iOS: iPhone_5.5_14.8_18H17_Restore.ipsw (downloaded from OSX daily) through iTunes
4. Conducted hardware test through phone support and the store and hardware appears good.
5. The phone has been maintained carefully and has no scratches (in otter box defender)

The only thing left to do is DFU Restore.

Thoughts?
