Apple Pencil 2 sometimes unresponsive

I have the iPad Pro 12.9 (2021) and an Apple Pencil 2.

I use the Notability app to take notes, and most of the time the pencil works perfectly fine. But sometimes, when I put the pen to the screen, the pencil or the iPad is unresponsive and I have to scribble a little or remove the pencil from the screen and reattempt to write for writing to appear.

It didn't bother me the first few times, thinking maybe my hand was too close to the nib or something. However, it turns out this problem persists at any situation.

I tried to remove the nib and blow in it (like some other thread suggested) and screw it on properly. However, this did not work.

Any new suggestions, apart from getting a new pencil since this one is very much new, would be appreciated.

You will need to search online for your nearest, “local” Apple store location and call contact phone numbers and call to make an appointment to have both our Apple iPad and Pencil diagnosed and options presented you.

Failing that,

You need to contact Apple support via the contact support link located at the upper right hand corner of every Webpage of these Apple support communities.
