MacBook Air M1 lid opens up when placed vertically

So my MacBook Air M1 delivered to me 3 days back considering I am posting this question today plus bought it from apple official online store , so the problem I have been facing since the day it arrived is that when I keep my Mac in a laptop bag it stays vertical at 90 degrees when I was to take it out of bag the lid was quite open and I rechecked it the same happened every time ,the screen lid slightly opens up every time I keep it vertically I guess there is some issue with hinge or magnet don't know and moreover my lid didn't open with with one hand (which I think is normal please correct me if I am wrong). please guys enlighten me with what could have possibly gone wrong with this device and suggestions to get this resolved . Your replies will be appreciated thank you

re: Apple's 14-day return policy on Mac..

in the US, according to this page:

• Returns & Refunds - Shopping Help - Apple

https://www.apple.com/shop/help/returns_refund

https://www.apple.com/us-hed/shop/help/returns_refund

[14-days, with Apple's Official 'education' stores too]

"There are a few important things to keep in mind when returning a product

you purchased online from Apple: You have 14 calendar days to return an item

from the date you received it. ~ Only items that have been purchased directly

from Apple, either online or at an Apple Retail Store, can be returned to Apple."

Perhaps there's a 'parallel policy' in other regions/countries Official Apple store?

In the event there is no similar policy: for repairs, Apple's Warranty should suffice.
