Horrible selfie camera iphone 12 pro. Anyone found any solutions?

I purchased iPhone 12 pro specifically to improve on my social media pictures quality. I wasn’t able to test it as testing was not available in my area due to covid, so I went off the reviews. While the back camera is good for landscapes and far away shots, I don’t really see the major improvement on close ups. In fact my iphone 8 is better in some cases like cooking viseos. However the front facing selfie camera is horrible!!!! I can’t seem to find any solutions to fix it. It’s just hyper realistic, focuses on all the pores, wrinkles and sun spots, makes even pro makeup look down right dirty, disfigures my face - making the nose stand out and face long, gaunt and crooked. I am a professional model, actor and a blogger, and I know I am not so bad looking. Also I am familiar with photography basics of light, angles, compositions, etc. I just can’t use this camera for my professional needs. Anyone can help? I already turned off hdr mode. Any other settings that can be adjusted? Thanks!
