I'll be listening to one of my music apps and if a notification comes through on my watch, my airpods pros disconnect from my iPhone 11. I have to manually connect airpods before pressing play. Is there a way to stop the auto notification connect to apple watch?

This is a feature that is enabled by default. Take a look at the iPhone User Guide here that quotes, "To stop AirPods from automatically switching between devices, go to Settings
> Bluetooth, tap 
next to the name of your AirPods, tap Connect to This iPhone, then tap When Last Connected to This iPhone."

No this is not correct. I would like my airpods to stop automatically connecting to my Apple watch Everytime there is a notification. I know what defaults are in place. This is not one that is covered anywhere and is quite irritating. Once again, I want to stop airpods from automatically disconnecting from iPhone and connecting to apple watch when a notification appears on Apple watch.
