Apple TV App - Flickers in Full Screen Mode

I am having an issue with the Apple TV app on my MacBook Air. When I am watching something in full-screen, the screen will flicker about every minute or so. How do I resolve this issue?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.6

We understand that when using Apple TV in full screen, your MacBook Air display is flickering. We'd like to look into this with you to see how we can help.

Let's check the following to see if these steps help:

Make sure your Mac is up to date: Update macOS on Mac
Try restarting your Mac: Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac
If your Mac isn't plugged in, does plugging it in make a difference? If so, does disabling Optimize video streaming while on battery power have an effect on the issue.  > System Preferences > Energy Saver
