Keyboard not connected

After I sign in my keyboard and trackpad don’t work. A box pops up that says Bluetooth Keyboard Setup. Then it says There isn’t a keyboard connected. I tried resetting the NVRAM and SMC someone else suggested but it didn’t work. I don’t have any other keyboard except the built in one. Can anyone help?

Greetings JenWal71,

It sounds like your keyboard isn’t working on your MacBook Air. We know how important having a working Computer is for you, and you’re in the right place to find a resolution.

Here's a resource and steps that can help:

If your Mac doesn’t respond to key presses

Specifically, use the steps from this section:

• If no keys work on your Mac notebook computer’s built-in keyboard

If you aren't able to resolve the issue, check out the Product Service and Repair Information page. It has some great information about what’s covered under your warranty, costs for repair outside of warranty, and more for your specific Apple product.

Cheers!
