HD Partitions on Networked Mac Pro Listed Incorrectly in Finder

I'm using a late-2013 iMac running Mojave. It's connected to a mid-2010 Mac Pro running Sierra, through a router, via SMB.

I've changed the partition names on a few of the Mac Pro's hard drives, and they're appearing in the iMac's finder incorrectly.

For example: an external USB3 HD appears in Finder multiple times (i.e. 4TBMAC, 4TBMAC-1, 4TBMAC-2) and an internally connected SATA HD appears twice, first with its old partition name and again with its current partition name.

I don't know how to fix this. I tried logging out both computers from the network, it didn't help.

I would appreciate any advice. It's very distracting when moving large numbers of files. Thank you.

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes.

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

In Finder's Menu, select Go menu>Go to Folder, and go to "/volumes". (no quotes)

Volumes is where an alias to your hard drive ("/" at boot) is placed at startup, and where all the "mount points" for auxiliary drives are created for you to access them. This folder is normally hidden from view.

Drives with an extra 1 on the end have a side-effect of mounting a drive with the same name as the system already think exists. Try trashing the duplicates with a 1 or 2 if there are no real files in them, and reboot.

If it does contain data...
