Stop AutoPlay from starting every time my iPhone connects to Bluetooth in car
I have paired my iPhone 6s IOS 14.8 with 2008 Ford Edge (no CarPlay)
Need Bluetooth connection in car for iPhone in case I need to make/receive a call/text while driving so turning it off is not an option.
But as soon as iPhone connects to Bluetooth, it starts playing a song. I don't hear it because my radio is set to something else but it's draining my battery.
I can ask Siri to Stop Music and Close Music but I shouldn't have to do this every time! Plus Siri won't if my screen is locked (again, to save my battery).
Under Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps > Car Play is turned off.
Everything under Settings > Music is turned off.
Bluetooth settings for my car is set to only sync Contacts
AirPlay & Handoff settings are all turned off.
Screen Mirroring won't complete opening (continues to spin). Have opened it in the past and selected Stop Mirroring.
There is no Restrictions option under General tab.
There is no Music or Screen Mirroring under Control Center
There is no CarPlay under General tab.
There is no Playback under Settings.
This absolutely useless Apple! I think I have enough charge to get me through the day but realize that it's been playing songs while I was driving and when I need it, I have no charge left.
