Amazon Music Unlimited Does Not Work With CarPlay Since iOS 15 Update

There is a work around, but it's annoying. You have to open Amazon Music on your phone, it'll come up with a blank black screen. Force close the app and reopen it and it'll launch correctly with the Amazon Music logo. Then CarPlay will finally connect correctly.

I just did the 15.0.2 update and it WORKED!

15.0.2 just came out. It fixed my music car play issues.

Thank you Apple for the fix. 15.0.2 is great, although it should not have happened in the first place.

Amazon Music now works with CarPlay with the new iOS update, 15.0.2!

After downloading 15.02 the problem seems to be resolved.

I’m having the same issue and can’t find 15.1 update. A temporary work around is to disable Bluetooth and WiFi on your phone, start playing Amazon Music, then enable Bluetooth and WiFi. Not the best, but will let you listen to music. Hope this gets resolved soon.

I have the same issue and it’s so frustrating! I did find that if you start a song or playlist on your phone then plug into the car while it’s playing that seems to get around the issue. Just make sure you don’t try to open the music app while connected or you will have to manually kill it first.

Same problem started for me also after iOS 15 update. My Amazon and Sirius XM music apps won't load, but Apple Music works just fine. Also, my phone won't connect to bluetooth. What I've found as a workaround (for Amazon Music) is to start the music player app on the phone, and then connect it to my head unit, music will then play through carplay with full controls.

I am having the same issue. However, if I open the Amazon Music app on my phone and close it, then pick a station or song from my library, it shows up in my CarPlay. Not ideal but it has worked for me.

iOS 15.01 didn’t fix the issue. iOS 15.1 is not released yet I’ve heard from a friend who’s testing it the error is fixed so will have to wait for 15.1 release. Otherwise I start Amazon Music on the phone and then plug into CarPlay and it works then. Another option is to transfer the playlists over the Apple Music and go that route (which I’m sure Apple would love).

I wouldnt call it great because they fixed something they broke unnecessarily and caused so much pain for atleast the people here.

Not to mention trying to fiddle with your phone while you are driving.

15.0.2 does fix the pain for now.

Go to general - updates - click to download 15.1 - the legit one is offered, not the beta version. My husband does the beta stuff, most of the time i can’t get regular Apple to do what it is supposed too, so i am not about to do beta!!
