Apple notes jumping to the top when using pencil

I've been having this issue and it's driving me up the wall! I'm a UX designer and Notes has been an integral part of my sketching and conceptualization process.

I've tried all of the "fixes" that I've found on the web including:

Turning off Notes and turning it back on in iCloud
Turning off Follow Focus in Accessibility
Turning off Zoom in Accessibiltiy
Turning iPad on/off
Deleting Notes and reloading it

This is driving me nuts. Has anybody else found a fix that works?!

Hi reneemak,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with the Notes app and Apple Pencil. As we understand, when using the Pencil, it jumps to the top of the note.

You have tried some great steps here. Have you unpaired the Pencil and set it up again with the iPad?
