Wireless Charging with broken phone

Hi Guys, so I recently smashed the back of my iPhone 12, but also while in saying that my charging port is starting to be a pain to charge from the cord. I'm not too sure what's wrong but if I position the cord in a certain way it works but with each charge its getting more difficult as it doest charge when I put the cord in. so I was thinking of buying aa wireless charger but wasn't sure if it would still work with a smashed back of phone. Hope someone can help me and let me know, thankyou you
