Speeding Up the Upload of photos that I have imported into PHOTOS on my Mac.
Every now and then I notice... it takes forever to upload a photo. I understand when I have 200+ photos. But I notice sometimes, just a few photos... and sits there. 30,000+ photos in the cloud. I dropped one into PHOTOS about 10 mins ago and I still notice it says "Uploading 1 Item PAUSE." If the photo was 10MB or maybe 1MB, but this photo is 328KB. I even clicked on Pause for a moment and then clicked on Resume to see if maybe it was just a fluke. But no, it just sits there. Close Photos and open it back up - no change... even went into the deleted photos and cleared them out, as well - no change.
I was in a rush, so after 30 mins I just pasted the photo into NOTES and then (within 10 seconds) I opened my NOTES on my iPhone and copied the photo and dropped it in a text.
Looked back on the mac... and still sitting there - ugh. Of course I can go from notes into PHOTOS on my iPhone... but it would be nice if it would just do what it normally does. I have used almost 50% of y storage that I pay for... I have a Gigablast Internet connection... I even just uploaded a 25MB video to verify my upload speed... and then ran a speedtest - says my upload speed is 32mbps. And still the photo just sits there. Would love to know if there is a setting or a command that would just "upload already."
Any thought would be appreciated. I even thought by the time I finished typing this it would probably be uploaded and a mute point. But no, still still there. :)
Thank you,
Joe
