Airpods 2nd gen capped at 80db (quiet) on iPhone but not on iPad
Hello,
When Ím listening to music through my AirPods on my iPhone 12 on iOS 15 or my iPhone 8 on iOS 14 the volume is quite low even when I turn it up to 100% and the hearing widget in the control center tells me Ím at 80db. When Ím using that same pair of AirPods on an old iPad running iOS 10 the volume is as loud as it once was. The AirPod´s volume also behaves as it should when Ím sharing audio with another pair of AirPods but once I terminate the connection to the other AirPods and `Share Audio` is no longer active the volume goes back down.
Has anyone else experienced that kind of issue? It can’t be the iPhones fault as my iPhone 12 is a new device BUT it was set up by transferring all data from the old iPhone 8 so if there was some fault in the hearing setting it might have been transferred too.
Any help/experience would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: It seems like, since I used the iOS 14 Headphone Safety feature on a beta version of iOS, it´s now always active and caps the volume on all my iCloud devices even though it´s turned off in the settings app. Ím not sure if that´s truly the root of the problem but I thought I might share this guess.
