AirPods Max spatial audio doesn’t work in Apple TV app

Hello,

I recently got my AirPods Max and was excited about Spatial Audio feature. It works really well with Apple Music Dolby Atmos and truly it’s immersive experience. Moreover I was told it also works with Apple TV+ shows.

However it doesn’t seem to be working for me. When I pull down the control centre on my iPad Pro 11 inch 2018 it only says SPATIALIZE STEREO while watching Apple Originals. I’ve tried basically everything like repairing the AirPods or resetting them.

I’m on iPadOS 15 and my AirPods are on 3E756.

Any help?
