Ipad not charging after boot.

I have a 6th gen Ipad that i’ve been using since 2018. It’s been sitting on a table for a couple of months, and now it doesn’t charge after it boots up.

When i plug in my 20w charger from my

iphone it removes the cable symbol from under the apple logo, and it boots normally. When the device turns on, however, it doesn’t show the charging symbol over the battery, and it dies after the 1% is gone(still plugged in)

The port seems pretty clear of any dirt. Could this be a problem with the internals?
