IOS 15 Image overlap in messages
After downloading IOS 15 on my iPhone 11, when I send or receive photos through messages they appear overlapped. I’ve tried restarting my phone but that didn’t fix it.

Yes it’s a “new thing” by design. It’s not aesthetically pleasing at all and I hate the way it looks. I wish there was a way to shut that off. The overlaps appear crooked and it’s ugly. I now have to send multiple pics one at a time so they will not group and I don’t see this monstrosity.

Is there a way to stop this option it sucks and I don’t like it at all?!!!!!!!!!

Clear System Caches:
I had a similar issue on my Mac, and clearing the caches fixed this. So, consider trying the same on your iPhone. To clear system caches on your iPhone, clear "Other" in on your iPhone. My Post: Text in Safari Address Bar is Overlapping (See Screenshots) - Apple Community
Clearing "Other":
Clear the storages named "Other". It basically contains unnecessary files such as caches that are used for system ease of use - all of which gather over time: How to Clear "Other" in your iPhone's Storage - Use Backup - User Tips. Caches would be being used for remembrance of application use. So, clearing other may be the way to go about this, as it would be performs through use of a computer.
It's by design (emboldening mine):
If you receive multiple photos at the same time, they’re automatically grouped into a collage (2-3 photos) or a photo stack (4+ photos). You can swipe through a photo stack to view, reply, or interact with each photo individually.

I like it much better, I prefer to see a stack rather than see Messages blow up with several screens of new photos I then have to scroll through whether I like it or not.
If you’ve ever been sent 20 or more images at a time in Messages, you really prefer the stack.
Regardless, you can leave feedback at the link above if it bothers you.
I prefer it to having pages and pages of new photos to scroll through.

It's a new design feature in iOS 15; see my response above.

Oops. Using copy and paste, I see I left out the first sentence: "This is not a report I've seen yet."
Very unhappy about this feature and how visually unappealing it is. I’ve complained directly to Apple and encourage everyone to do the same. A completely unnecessary and unwelcome change.
I don’t like the new photo “collage” feature in iMessage either. Is there no way to return to the previous layout for attached photos?
No.
I agree. It’s FUGLY.
It’s hard to get anyone. How did you contact them?
Agreed, I hate it
