Logic Pro X not compatible to my version of macOS

I have a school project were I'll be making music. I got permission from my teacher to use their "Logic Pro X on a CD". However, now when I try downloading I get the message; "This package is not compatible with this version of macOS", The package is trying to download the content on system volume. Contact the software manufacturers and ask for assistance."

iMac 21.5″, macOS 11.6

Logic Pro X "on a CD" is almost a contradiction in terms.

Logic Pro has not been distributed by Apple in optical media (CD or DVD) since 2011.

Even since Logic Pro "X" was launched (the "X", which has since been dropped, stood for Ten) in 2011, the application has distributed solely via the App Store.

Sounds like the school needs a newer version.
