After upgrade to tvOS 15 airplay audio is out of sync. Before I transmited audio to external yamaha ysp-5600 and everything was worked perfectly! Now audio is out of sync or pausing even video which is not streaming anywhere is laging or droping. Complete mess.
Tried everything without luck. Funny thing is so android cast on my Sony TV is working perfectly. Shame on you Apple.

Same thing here using airplay with my demon amp after updating tvOS to 15.
I am tempted to try the Beta, but I am afraid that it will brick my AppleTV like a previous beta update.
I think that Apple should address this issue in the next release: Airport is a proprietary protocol so they know it better than anyone else.
The TvOS 15.1 does not fix the problem. :-( Just tried it..

Ahh sorry about that , I assumed it was, I’m working from my one Beta box. I saw IOS 15.1 be released and assumed they released it on all products, the working TVOS is 15.1 (19J5560d)
I changed the cable as suggested by "CoolBob" and the problem remains ..
Apple update broke Airplay support.
Please fix that ASAP!
I tried calibration and it doesn't solve the problem
My AirPlay 1 speaker is out of sync with tvOS 15.0. I had to buy an additional AirPlay 2 speaker to get it to work.
I checked yesterday and no updates were available on my Apple TV ??
In my region update was out only today.
Updating to OS 15.1 appears to have fixed the audio sync issues on my Yahama YSP-1600.
