Activity level on “No Cell Coverage”

What does it mean when my iPad battery usage page says that 27% of my activity is being used by "No Cell Coverage"?

Hello ProfSan,

We understand that you’re seeing ‘No Cell Coverage’ as something using the battery for your iPad.

The following article has great information on how to read the battery graphs and numbers. It states, “No Cell Coverage and Low Signal means that your device is searching for a signal or being used with a low signal.”

About the battery usage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Do you have a cellular capable iPad? If so, is cellular data enabled? You can check that in Settings > Cellular Data.

Thanks.
