focus - ios15

Originally on ios14, when in Do Not Disturb, all notifications were silenced on lock screen, but not silenced when phone was being used. Is there a way to do the same thing with focus?

I would like all my notifications silenced on my lock screen when in this mode, but if I am using my phone while on focus, I would like to be able to get notified.

Can I See but not hear Notifications while on focus mode? I have an iPhone 8 plus, running 16.5IOS. I know I can enable certain people and apps to notify me while in focus MODE and edit home and lock screen. However, sometimes I need silence while still being able to look at lock or home screen and see if ive missed calls/texts emails etc. Is their a way to SEE all notifications on all apps but not HEAR them, while in focus mode?

Can anyone help me figure out how to make iOS Focus work? Before iOS 16 I could turn notifications on or off for each app, customize notifications for those apps, and turn all notifications off with Do Not Disturb. Simple. Easy. Effective. With Focus I’ve tweaked an endless number of settings and I STILL can’t figure out how to just get my messages, calendar, and phone to notify me. I even got a message to create a driving “focus” WHILE I WAS LITERALLY DRIVING. I’m still missing calls, messages, appointments, and reminders and cannot for the life of me figure out how to fix it. Can anyone share how to set this thing to simply alert me for the apps whose notifications are turned on and stop all notifications when do not disturb is on? Thanks.
