Time Machine Drive full, but showing empty

Hi - I just updated to 11.6 and now it seems my Time Machine drive is playing up. It shows that there is data on there:



However, Time Machine sees nothing on it:



and neither does the finder:



Is there any reason for this? I've also been having problems with my USB ports, so hope it's nothing to do with that

It may not see the backup as connected to your Mac because of the upgrade. I've had that happen once years ago. I just wiped the drive in Disk Utility and started a new backup.


You can also try holding down option and clicking the time machine icon in the status bar. You'll get options to verify backup or browse other backup discs. That will often reconnect the backup too.
