iPhone 13 Pro Average Battery

Hey guys, I've been noticing that my new iPhone 13 Pro battery has been quite bad/average lately and not quite what I expected. I bought it 4 days ago and everything has been indexed and installed day 1.

On average I'm getting 4.5h to 5.5h of screen on time usage and it's VERY light to moderate use of social media and Spotify. I've been seeing reports of others using it heavily and getting 7 to 8 hours of screen time usage at 20% left. Even my friend who has a year old iPhone 12 she gets 5h screen on time usage. Also, I unplug it at about 10:30pm and leave it overnight and I noticed about 5% drain overnight. No suspicious activity, only Find My in the background.

I've contacted Apple Support for a replacement twice and they've gone through the usual procedure, asking about battery health (100% duh) and did a diagnostics check to find there is no issue. Then they would give me battery saving tips which don't really help. Is there any way to get it replaced without being asked all these questions and having to find issues in order to get it replaced?

Thanks!

So, you went to Settings > Battery and you looked at what is using the most charge on your new phone?

Based on what you see, you make adjustments. There is likely not a thing wrong with your battery in a brand new phone. You've clearly got something running in the background (it still could be indexing data, if you had a LOT of data - Yes, even a couple days after set up). There are so many settings which could eat up a battery.

Worst case, back up your phone, then restore it from backup, which would clear anything rogue which is using a lot of charge.

I notice something weird on my iPhone 13. I charge the phone 100% before going to bed. I shut it off for night. I turn it on the next morning and I lose about 5 percent battery. Is this normal to lose battery when the phone is off? I never had this problem with other iPhone.

I agree with lobsterghost1. Leave your battery on charge overnight. In addition to being fully charged in the morning and ready to go, it will also back up automatically.
