Standard timers now show up in recents and bump custom off the list

Apple seem to have broken the one watch feature that I use the most daily. By default the timer has "buttons" for eight preset times or I can add a custom time. Some of the presets are useless to me (why three minutes or two hours?) Others I do use, for example 30 and 5 minutes, but there are some like 40 or 45 minutes that would be useful but are missing. For years now I have had custom timers for the times I use frequently during the day. The watch remembers exactly four recent times. As of the "update" it now includes the presets in the list, it didn't before. This means that during the course of the day my custom times are deleted off the end of the list when I use the presets. I have looked for settings but can see no way to return to the previous behaviour where it only remembers custom times on the recents list.

I know what you mean and dont like it either. There are other reports of that in this Support Community. You can add ammo to the request to change it thru this formal request link : https://www.apple.com/feedback/watch.html .
