Banner notifications for email on ios 15

I just updated my iPhone to ios 15 and the one thing that seems to have changed that is bothering me is the banner notifications for the mail app. It's not that they don't work it's that I had it set up to get sound, badges, and banners for my VIP list and then just sound and badges for all other email. Now it seems to be all or none. Is there a place I should be looking for this? I don't want banners for every email but I also don't want to not have sounds and I want banners for things I have marked for VIP. Thanks in advance for the help!

Why has banners disappeared from my Mail notification Has anyone lost the banners alert from the Mail alerts in notifications? The only options I have are Lock Screen and Notification Centre. Previously when I received an email a number would appear next to the Mail icon on my screen but now the banners alert has disappeared I can only see that I have received an email when my phone is locked. I still have banners alert in all my other apps so don’t understand why it has gone from my Mail app. Any help would be appreciated.

Notification Mail help needed... BTW: this is for iPhone - using 12.4 (will go to 12.4.1 soon) I set notifications: show previews always and varied mail account set to: -allow notifications lock - notifications. screen and banners = checked banner style = temporary sound = on problem is banners only seem to work when the mail app is live and open - and not when phone is locked or phone is unlocked without mail app open.. Q: Are the other setting to get the banners to show on lock screen and when using phone w/o mail app open? BTW: other banners like reminders seems to be working Thanks dave

Understanding notifications on an IPad - Switching from Banners to Alerts Hi, I often get jobs last minute via email which I must respond asap. I have figured out how to have a sound alert whenever I get an email. On the lock screen the notification stays on (Banner) until I turn on my Ipad. However, if I am using my Ipad and step away for a moment I still get the sound alert, but the banner disappears. I know on my Mac I can switch notifications from Banners to Alerts and the notification stays on until I click it. Is this possible on an Ipad? Thanks!
