Iphone 13 Lock and notification sound low

this issue persists since last years iphone 12 lineup… kb tap sound getting louder when typing, the lock sound is so low I can barely hear it, notification sounds are also low…

I tried multiple iphone 13 pro and mini at a booth, all of them show the same issue…

can somebody confirm?

And why is apple still not addressing this problem? need to upgrade my phone soon, but I am not motivated when I can see those problems

I had the same problem with my 13 pro which ibought 2 day ago, my 12 yo daughter found the cure for the low volume with these sounds.

Go and check : settings, accessibility, face ID & Attention , disable the "attention-aware features" it will sound loud all the time if you have the rest of the sound settings on max.

This stupid feature is on by default letting the phone feel if you are holding it in your hand or something,

The funny thing is i was on chat with one of the Apple service guys baout this, he did not know , he just send me back to the place where i bought it, hahaaaa !

hi, i just had a genius bar appointment at regent street london today ay 13.40 , i have complained about low sound notifications and lock sound,i had all the settings correct including attention aware feature off. they have run diagnostic and sound check, everything is perfect according to apple tech. so the problem is not the phone or the hardware, issue behind the problem is software, they are hoping there will be a software update for apple 11-12 and 13, apple tech also reported my complaint to head office i have also mentioned there are thousands of us complaining on discussion group and also all over the internet sites, hope this will help

It is a software issue. I followed each and every step the support techies showed me and that included resetting my whole device to what it was when I bought the phone. Including iOS.

After 5 support chats, one phone call support, 2 device reset and 2 visits to the official retailer, the issue isn’t resolved, sometimes the sounds are high but most of the times it is very low to nothing.

The retailer service person himself said the following “Your phone has passed every diagnostics test we had and we are certain the issue isn’t hardware related but entirely software related. Unfortunately we can’t do anything besides, resetting and updating the iOS, which we had done, in your case and that hasn’t resolved your issue. I’m sorry but you just have to wait for the next update.”

I heard 15.6 is out, any changes or is it still the same old story??

this might fix your problem for the notifications and alert ringtone sounds. First, open your iPhones settings application. Next, tab sounds and haptics. Finally, ensure that the volume is at 100%. Your phone will play a sample of the ringtone that you have set so you can set the ringtone to the volume that you’d like it to be at. However, this will not fix lock sound issue. Also, guys, this is not a software bug that is fixed when you buy an Apple Watch, as I already have an Apple Watch SE that I use on a daily basis and experience this lock sound bug daily. It doesn’t really bug me though, although I could see how it would bug someone.

Joining late to the party, upgraded my phone from 11 to 13 pro 3 months back. At first I thought the sound must be very low, then I started to realise it wasn’t the sound bar, but it was the ****** phone. My friend uses 13 and I asked him about it, he seemed to facing such issue, but when I started using it, I started recognising he had the same defect too. Low locking sounds, mail notifications, but at times the keyboard sounds just go higher and louder.

I gave my 11 to my father and whenever he locks, gets notifications. I can hear it from nearly 5m away. While mine, I’d have to be near it and still miss some notifications.

15.4.1 and still the same ****.

I think the issue is they have no idea what’s causing it. In my latest email from Apple support they say, “thank you for your patience. The engineering team are trying to get this identified and then fixed.”

Apple (at least in Australia), acknowledge this issue but it’s so frustrating when you are spending so much money on a phone that has trouble with the simplest of all things. The amount of times I have missed messages due to low volume…..

Just upgraded from an iPhone X to an iPhone 13 Pro Max and the low sound for the lock is ridiculous. Even the sounds for typing on the keyboard as I type this weirdly jump up and down in volume. Settings are all correct and making changes, restarting the phone etc etc do not address the issue.
