Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Activation Lock on old iPad, Apple ID does not exist.

I tried to reset my old iPad. Unfortunately, it was connected to an old email address that I used from a personal website. I am trying to reactive, but I am just running in circles. I keep getting a message that the ID is invalid and when I look it up it doesn’t exist. I just wanted my mom to use it to watch youtube videos. Help!

Error messages:

- Cannot reset password

- This Apple ID is either not valid or not supported.


There is no Apple Support document specifically addressing these messages that I can find but these links have been Recommended by Apple ( https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7417834 ) and others with this problem:
