Zapier integration

It seems that Apple apps (e.g. Mail, Calendar etc.) are not supported on Zapier. The concept of Zapier looks good, but it doesn't work for me at all, because Apple apps are not supported.


Is this because Apple want us to use Automator instead?

Does anyone have any advice on alternatives for Zapier?

Or should we be asking Apple to develop Zapier integrations?

Yes, macOS Monterey – which is "Coming this fall", but is already available via the Apple Beta Software Program. Read about Shortcuts in macOS Monterey by searching these three pages:

Apple also mentions there that they've built a migration tool that can convert most Automator workflows into Shortcuts. ...That sounds like Apple is planning to replace Automator by Shortcuts in the future.
