2018 Apple USB SuperDrive 2018 connected to new MacBook Air loaded a music CD but does not appear as device and can't be ejected

is the new (but made in 2018) Apple Superdrive compatible with my new MacBook Air?

Connected and tried it by loading a simple audio disk. Worked fine but cannot eject, and cannot find the superdrive anywhere as a recognized device

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.13

Mine works fine. If the drive does not show in Finder be sure in Finder preferences that it is checked off to show. Also be sure the drive is connected directly to your Mac. If the disc still will not eject try the ideas here:
