IOS 15 - Mail being marked as read before being opened

This is happening with optimum email. Not gmail not exchange.

Using imap

I just upgraded from the xs max to the 13 pro max. Same issue with my optimum email. I thought it was a software upgrade issue which would go away in an update or 2. It has not.

I'm having the same issue. Optimum upgraded the online GUI and whatever they changed is causing this issue. I have removed and added the account but the issue persists

After a few calls with engineering and going through that

process I was told that it shud be fixed on the next update…well I updated to 15.2 and still doing it…..

Same, it’s been happening for months now. Apple says it’s optimum and optimum has no answer

I continue to have the same problem even after the most recent update. Please resolve. All optonline.net emails marked as read.

I too downloaded the latest update and the problem persists. This is absolutely ridiculous.

my “handler” told me today that they’re still working on it, but she’s following up with engineering today. We should organize a sit-in at Apple stores around the world!

Having this same exact issue. Current on all updates and nothing has changed. Very frustrating to open my mail

app and all emails are being marked as read. So many important emails are going missed.

Still waiting for a fix……. Think apple blowing smoke up my *** they ain’t fixing squat…..

I agree. I have been dealing with this since Sept. Doubt anyone is doing anything nor do they care. No loss to them.

I also had this issue in the past, but some weeks or months ago it stopped.

Why does this say solved when clearly it is not?

it is because you upgraded to ios 15. New ios always have problem.
