Touch ID & Passcode option not showing in Settings menu

Hi,

Trying to add Touch ID to child’s iPad but it is not showing as an option… is this related to parental control? How can I fix it?

Does your child have an iPad model that actually has TouchID?

Not sure which iPad you have? Identify your iPad model.

Hi,

yes, it’s a 7th gen iPad, modelA2197.

His brother’s iPad is identical and does have that menu option. I’m baffled.
