I get no sound when mirroring. I turn off mirroring and get sound. HDMI goes from Apple TV 4k to a computer monitor (all I have) HDMI input. Bluetooth BluDento goes to stereo audio input. When one works in the menu the other shuts off. Can’t get mirroring and play BluDento my iPhone 11 makes me choose. Will I gave to get adapter to split HDMI audio out instead of using BluDento? Suggestions?

With screen mirroring, both video and audio are send to the same device. How audio is output, is then according to the settings on Apple TV box, not determined by the AirPlay sending device.

Thank you for your reply. I think the only solution that I can see is to use an aftermarket non Apple hdmi splitter to split off an optical digital signal to go to a dac ( digital analog converter) for audio. I don’t see any settings in the Apple TV 4k to be able to split the audio and video.

On Apple TV (4th generation or later), you can set temporary audio output to any bluetooth or AirPlay speaker.

(The default audio output is for wired connections.)
My speakers are traditional speakers and not Bluetooth. There is an Belkin device that will convert a hifi system to Bluetooth but it has its own app for volume control so I don’t know how that would integrate with my iPhone. I ordered a splitter.
