Should I repair or replace a broken iPad

I have an apple iPad model A1822, sn: GC****LFD.

It has died on me, and I'm wondering if it would be beneficial for

me to repair the unit or replace the unit and APPLE can't seem to give me any info as to what I should do. The unit curled on its ends which caused the glass to shatter, and the unit won't charge at all. It is a 5th gen IPAD. I bought the unit

from BEST-BUY. If repairing it will be too costly then I'd rather just replace the unit. It has a 128GB Hard drive I think. The unit is also bowed. You'd have to see the unit to believe how screwed up it is. I'm going to take it to an apple store near me! I paid over $500, for the unit. No misuse or abuse to the unit!
