Upgrade on 24 month contract

If I buy the new Iphone 13 pro on a 24-month contract can I then trade my phone in a year from now when the 14 is released? Or do I have to wait the full 2 year to upgrade?

That depends on who you buy it with.

If you buy it from Apple using the iPhone Upgrade program then yes, you can upgrade after 12 months. Link-> iPhone Upgrade Program - Apple

If you are in a contract with your carrier then its up tot hem if you are eligible. to upgrade in 12 months rather than 24.

Contact your carrier and ask them about the terms of the plan you are in.
