I just bought the new iPhone 13 mini and the battery life is terrible.
I don’t even use it much throughout the day and by the end of the day I have to charge it again.
it doesn’t even last a day. This is really really bad. What is wrong with my phone?
Nothing is wrong with your phone. The iPhone mini is smaller meaning there is less room for a big battery. A few things that can make your battery last a bit longer are: turning off background app refresh, enabling reduce motion, and turning down your screen brightness.

viki ~ As you haven't mentioned trying this, Apple's iPhone User Guide says: "If your iPhone isn’t working right, try restarting it.":

So charging my phone 2 times a day is normal? If I make a phone call for 10mins it drains my battery by 10%.
thats not normal
Also, make sure that you are updated to the latest version of iOS (It is 15.0.1). It fixes some problems with iOS 15.
I’m having the same issue. Have had it for less than a week and have to charge it during the day at work. Have you had a better resolution?
