my iPhone 12 Pro Max has been reporting incorrect storage post iOS 15 update. The problems remains even after updating to 15.0.1.
in the screenshot you can see that the iPhone reports less usage of storage than is actually used. The storage usage has been steadily decreasing since iOS 15.
Have the latest update and still not solved.
Same issue with whatsapp and other apps as well.
I have the same problem with my 512GB iPhone 13 Mini.
After updating to 15.1, it seems to be resolved.

My reported storage is now correct after installing iOS 15.1
iPhone 6S ios15.2 &15.2.1. Says 39.9GB of 64GB used.
Music : 63.33GB
All songs: 16.94GB
How does than make any sens?
Me too 😔 on whatsapp its 20gb and in settings 90!!!!! Can you imagine!!! 90 is so so much its unfair 😔
yeah, and 15.3 DID NOT fix this yet! Very frustrating. 😡
I tried everything. Ended up having to wipe my phone and restore it. Hasn’t had the problem since. Weird bug.
Yeah. I ended up having to do a backup, wiping, and restoring from backup. Fixed it, but was definitely annoying.
Did you have the problem I mentioned about the backup storage as well?
Surprisingly, the issue didn’t persist into the backup and restoration.

Unfortunately, the only way I found to fix it was to completely wipe my phone and restore from iCloud. Somehow that fixed it. It’s a very annoying solution, but at least it worked.
