When I mute a phone call
Since the update while on a phone call the other party can hear a noise when I mute them and unmute them. How do I turn this noise off? I’ve looked in setting but cannot seem to find how to turn it off.
iPhone 11, iOS 15

Jezkadaqueen,
At this time, there isn't a setting that can turn off Mute alerts. Please note that, when you mute a phone call, the other person should not be hearing the mute alert on their end. If the other person is hearing the mute alert on their end, then that means that the Phone app might not be working as expected. If the Phone app isn't working as expected, follow these steps: If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open.
Have a nice day.

Hi Jezkadaqueen,
Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like when you mute a phone call an alert is heard and we’re happy to help!
iOS 15 introduces many new features and one of the new features is Mute alerts.
"Mute alerts
Lets you know when you’re talking while muted. Tap the alert to quickly unmute and make sure your voice is heard." It's important to note that after testing with others, we were able to confirm that they're unable to hear the mute alert on their end.

Best regards.
This is the worst new feature they could add without giving us an option to turn it off. I don’t want the other party to know I’ve muted myself.
I have also tested it out with many people and the person that I am muting can hear when I press mute and when I press it to unmute, I need to know how to turn this off. If I am muting someone then it’s for a reason.
I am having the same problem - whenever I hit mute the person on the other end of the call hears a beep - people have mentioned it to me several times. It’s an awful change and I would urge you to create a way to turn it off. Thanks.
That’s interesting because my sister and myself have both tried it, even calling each other to test it out. But the person on the other end always hears the sound now.
