Since I updated to ios15, whenever I receive a new message on Messenger, the little red number that’s normally on the app icon doesn’t come up. I still get it on Messages or WhatsApp, just not Messenger. I can only see I’ve got a message if I go on the notification centre or actually open the app.

We understand you're no longer getting the notification badge for the Messenger app. Make sure Badges is turned on in Settings > Notifications > Messenger >Badges. If it is disabled, enable it. If it is already enabled, toggle it off for about 30 seconds and then toggle it back on. Also, if the app itself has notification settings, make sure they are enabled. Hope this helps.

Hi all,
Today I downloaded the last update for messenger app (displayed prior that needs update via App Store).
It seems that now the notification badge works.Hope this will be stable!

I had the same issue. When I deleted the app and redownloaded it, the problem went away. Hope this helps :)

I have the same issues regarding notification badge since upgrade to 15.
I have checked all settings (disable, enable), did re-installation, reset and combination if them.
Nothing has happened-issue is still there.
Any suggestion?
