LTE/5G very slow afte upgradint to iphone 13 pro max

I was getting double (or more) the speeds on the same network (Rogers Canada) on my iphone 12 pro max. Since i upgraded to 13 pro max everything is much slower. I reset my network settings and restarted the phone multiple times with no luck!

Anyone else experiencing a similar issue?

Thanks

So I just upgraded to an unlocked iPhone 13. Pro max 256gb today, bought it unlocked from apple and activated it on boost mobile, no issues, then later on I notice that the phone is downloading at less then 3g speeds in a full 5g area, so after doing some research, I disabled my 3rd party vpn (Torguard) reset all network settings and viola! It worked, downloads crazy fast now with no Wi-Fi, I’ll give you the link to the website that helped me figure this out https://shudhtech.blogspot.com/2021/10/slow-5G-internet-on-iPhone-13-pro-max.html?m=1

Hope it works for you

Hi,

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your iPhone.

If you have already confirmed the issue is unrelated to your carrier and its supported plan for your device, I would recommend resetting all settings on your device, then try to replicate the issue again.

  • Settings > General > Transfer or reset iPhone > Reset > Reset all Settings

If this does not resolve your issue, place your device into recovery mode to erase and reinstall the latest iOS again, in the event the issue is software related.

Lastly, if that does not resolve your issue, contact Apple Support to further assist.

Hope this helps.

The title of this thread begins "LTE/5G very slow."

The article explains why 5G is slow.

If the tower needs an infrastructure upgrade (its backhaul is congested) and/or if there are frequency issues, LTE will be slow.

It's important to note when these issues are cleared up, it's because of a change the carrier made at a tower, not due to an iOS upgrade; one day things just "work better."

That's a carrier issue.

Regardless, if you find another device works better for you, sell your iPhone and buy that instead; iPhone 13 Pro Maxs sell for good prices online.
