I just got the iPhone 13 pro which has moved the remote app into the control center. It stopped picking up my Apple TV. I've tried restarting my Apple TV several times and it still won't pick it up. It's a 4th generation. Help!

How are you supposed to "Verify that both devices are on the same home network" when you can't navigate around the Apple TV because you don't have a remote? The solution needs to present something where the Apple TV connects to your iPhone in some other fashion. Very suspicious and like Apple to make us all buy new remotes when we could have used the old app that used to work just fine.
Exactly, exactly my experience. And as has been standard for the past many years, Apple does not care, and the Apple nerds here continue to aggressively roll their eyes.
Does anyone think apple is even working on/acknowledging this problem?

Change the name of the Apple TV and repair. That fixed it for me.
IzzLx what does and repair mean how do you do that. So I have to change the name of every AppleTV?
Thanks this actually worked for me. It was starting to drive me nuts.
i only had one Apple TV that the remote would not connect to. I changed the name of that TV only, then went through the set up a remote process to re- pair the phone to the Apple TV again.
I have an iPhone 7 and 3 Apple TV’s, my phone will control 2 of them but not the 3rd.

But isn’t Apple return policy on the condition that the product is “not opened” and still sealed in box. If opened they wouldn’t accept it?
