Unable to install Rosetta 2 on Mac mini 2021 OS Big Sur11.5.2

If this a new M1 Mac you do not need to install. It will ask you to install if it needs to be for any app that requires it.

Run in Terminal this command without the quotation mark " /usr/sbin/softwareupdate --install-rosetta "

To open an app with Rosetta, choose get info, then select open with rosetta.

Same thing, only I'm using OS 11.6.

Trying to open an app that's not M1 ready, like Brave, launches the Rosetta 2 Updater:

After hitting install, I get this message:

At one point I got an error that I wasn't connected to the internet, but I am connected.

This is highly frustrating because I bought this computer for work, and a good chunk of the apps I use for work are not M1 ready, and some may never be ready. So I really need this to install.
