Apple Watch
Hi kboo1973,
We understand you're missing the Mickey Mouse watch face on your Apple Watch. We're happy to help.
To add the face back, you're going to need to grab your paired iPhone. Go in to the Watch app, then select the Face Gallery tab at the bottom of the screen. From there you'll want to scroll down to the Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse section, it'll be about half-way down the page. Tap on the Mickey Mouse face, then select Add.
Explore the Face Gallery on Apple Watch
Once it has been added to your watch, you can then change the face on the watch. If you have multiple watch faces added to your watch, there's two ways you can change them. You can swipe left or right across the entire watch screen to flick through the different faces you have added to your watch, or you can tap and hold on your current watch face then scroll through your saved faces and select the one you want.

We hope this helps. Cheers!
Seems solved after upgrade to 8.1
Me too! Even after the latest update. I’ve found that I don’t have to turn the watch off to get it back. That works, but if I swipe through the watch faces on my watch, then swipe back the Mickey pic returns. I find that easier than restarting the watch. Discovered that by accident when checking to see if Mickey was the only face affected.
Spoke to Apple advanced support. They said that the engineers are working on this and we should hopefully have a fix in the next watchOS update!
Thanks - I’ve done that already. The issue is that Mickey disappears, the complications stay on the screen and the only way to get the full watch face back is to turn off and then turn back on the Apple Watch.
I have the same issue with my Apple Watch 6. I've tried to delete the faces and add them back in, unpair - pair, reset the watch by turning it off and back on and I've updated the software to iOS 8.0.1. Everything I've tried has been a temporary fix, but it happens so frequently. Sometimes daily or even multiple times a day. I haven't tried all of the faces, but it does happen with Mickey & Minnie faces and not Toy Story. The voices are still there, it's the image that disappears.
It was not happening with iPhone X, but now that I'm on 13 it happens all of the time. Is it an iOS 8 thing on the watch, an issue with pairing with iPhone 13, or iOS 15.x? So frustrating!!
Apple - PLEASE fix this!!
I’ve been having the same issue and thought I recently purchased a defective watch. It was fine until the recent updates where Mickey now disappears and will only return after turning watch off then back on.
8.0.1 hasn’t fixed it for our two watch 6. Apple support told and fault raised. No solution as yet.
update 8.0.1 has not solved the issue for me, I have to turn off and on daily. Hoping this will be fixed soon. I purchased my Apple Watch because of Mickey Mouse.
I raised a fault with Apple support yesterday, it’s gone to Senior engineering. No answers as yet. A clear case of s/w fault in Watch os8
Same here. I can restart my watch and it comes back but it’s a pain.
I’ve just updated to 8.1 so time will tell. I did get a response from engineering though admitting there was a s/w bug but we already all knew that!
I've experienced this as well. Randomly, the clock disappears, but the complications are still visible. It's just a black space where the Mickey Mouse face would normally be. I have to restart my watch for it to reappear. (hence the reason why I was looking up if other people were having this issue)
Yeah! And I’ve gotten little help from Apple - I’ve un-paired and re-paired the watch four times now using different options to set it back up. I’ve also deleted everything on the watch but nothing has solved this issue.
This is not helpful. The watch face is in my queued up faces but when I set it to Mickey or Minnie the actual watch face is blank. Restarting the watch brings it back for a short while but then it disappears again. I put in a ticket with Apple support for this…. But it still hasn’t been resolved.
