Network issue

So I have bought my iPhone from Netherlands and have been using it since 2weeks and everything is fine. While my vacation to Norway I found out the internet doesn't act like it was back in Netherlands. The internet bar is showing'E' instead of '4G'. Is this a bug or some other issue? BTW I am using 13 pro max

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 15

It is not a bug.

E -> is EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution) can reach speeds between 120Kbps and 384Kbps. This was the fastest data network speed of the original iPhone.

There was probably no 3G and/or 4G signal available during your vacation.

Go to Settings -> tap Mobile network-> tap Mobile data options  -> tap Voice and data -> tap 4G.
