why can't i play my dvd on my macbook pro?

hello, this has happened before. I thought it was because the dvd player was faulty. so i bought a new one and the same thing happened. i have tried with 3 types of dvd and they all can't be played. the viewer will pop up but it will be blank. when i open the video_TS file, it will show all these formats as you can see from the screenshot. i have tried using VLC media player and also other media player apps from the app store but none of it works😭😭 i have also tried restarting the nvram, but it still won't work. the dvd region code is compatible with where im from. I have seen other people who bought the dvd player from the same store and played the same dvd as mine on their macbook air 2019 and it worked for them. please help me, im in desperate need of help😭😭
