Trading in charging cables & Chargers

Is it possible / are Apple going to start a trade in / exchange programme for old 5W USB-A Chargers & Cables?

I have a large number of cables (after numerous years and devices), and to avoid them becoming redundant and going to landfill, it would be good is apple did a scheme where you can take in your old USB-A cables & Chargers for trading in plus a small fee.

For example;

Scenario 1: 5W USB-A Charger and lightning cable could be swapped for a 10W USB-C, Lighting cable + £10.

Scenario 2: 3No. USB-A Charger & Lightning Cable to be swapped for 20W USB-C + Cable & £5.

Surely this would also work for apple in reducing the amount of waste produced and the old products repurposed.

nobody here would know, but you can use trade in to have apple recycle them

To clarify, it was pay extra, not be paid.

Would make sense from a minimising of waste point of view, and could be spun as PR for apple

as stated if you click on the bluetext go to the page and click on the [other devices recycle ]

and then choose say [cases and protection] what are they going to do if the parcel you send back contains an ac charger and cable? send it back?

you can also use their feedback channel to suggest they add more items to the dropdown box

even if there are no ac charger / cable / trade in feedback channel then what are they going to do if you add feedback in another channel? the opposite of what you suggest?
