Macbook draining battery when lid is closed

My Macbook Pro 13'' early 2015 has been draining battery when the lid is closed. This has been happening ever since I switched to Big Sur. The crazy thing is that when I bootcamped Windows and left my laptop on overnight, the battery didn't drain more than 2%. Apple, what is going on!

Upon further inspection, it's clearly a macOS process: WindowServer. See attached image:

And don't just post a link to an article saying "read this post and see if it helps." I've read all the posts there is, and that's why I'm posting this.

First I would encourage you to update to the current stable release of macOS 11.6 —

Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support

You can check options in System Preferences>Battery>>Battery & Power Adapter

Turn off Wake for Network Access

Turn off Power Nap

If no insight or resolve, try resetting power management —

Update: resetting the SMC, something I have tried before, did not help. My laptop still drains, and after 36-48 hours without charging and no use, the laptop goes to 0% and shuts off. Like I assumed, it seems to be a failure of the operating system from "sleeping."

My guess is the WindowServer preventing sleep that is causing this, and/or the inability of Big Sur to accommodate older notebooks.

May I get more help on this?

So it seems that resetting the SMC helped a bit . See below:

I had my computer closed, but I had some applications still open and I didn't put it sleep manually. I will try again and this time and see if the battery can stay fully charged.
