Check if anything (cover or screen protector) obstructs or interferes with your touch screen activity. Should be this case, try to remove them.

Perform also a "forced" restart of your iPhone using these instructions:--> Force restart iPhone – Apple Support, then test your device again.

If the issue still persists, I suggest that you make an appointment (*) and have your device inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> Apple – Location Selector. After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options.

Regards

Giulio

Generally the two basic troubleshooting steps I suggested in my previous reply should correct that issue.

But you're not addressing Apple here . We, just users like you, are not aware of problems that might (or might not) be resolved in a future iOS update. Apple technicians who inspected your device are certainly more skilled than me about that matter, and I cannot help you any further remotely, sorry.

If you'd like, you can contact Apple Support directly, using this link:--> Get Support (they have tools to run remote diagnostics).

Regards and best of luck.

Giulio

EDIT: I forgot to remind you that you have 14 days (from the date of purchase) to return your device and ask for a refund.
