Airpods pro on 4A400 find nearby on find my app is not available

Hi,

I have an iphone 11 pro running on ios 15.0.1 and airpods pro on 4A400.

After updating my airpods to the new software I was expecting to see find button in the find my app for my airpods but unfortunatelly there isn’t. It only shows the directions button. And there is other problem in airpods setting where it says connect to this iphone. I can’t change it to “automatically”, it is stick to “when last connected to this iphone”

Is find nearby option available for iphone 11? And why doesn’t it change to automatically?

iPhone 11 Pro

Unpairing and repairing (both from appleID and the iPhone) did the trick for me. After I paired them again, I now can see the option in the Find My app.

Same issue with iPhone 13 Pro and 15.0.1 as well as after update to 15.0.2

AirPods Pro on latest 4A400.

My colleague has exactly the same setup, but nearby option is available for him.

I’ve been having the exact same problem also with an iPhone 11 pro.

Firmware version 4A400 and IOS 15.0.1 but I’m still getting the directions button. I have tried resetting a few times but nothing fixed the problem…

Same thing here: iPhone 13 Pro Max on 15.0.2, AirPods Pro on 4A400 and no options whatsoever in Find my, just “directions” and play sound. Bummer.

It’s so annoying that some work and some don’t.

Would you please explain more about what you mean by unpairing from apple id and iphone?
