Cracked 2nd Generation Apple Pencil

3 days after purchasing a new Apple Pencil (2nd gen), I noticed 2 vertical cracks near the tip. Tools it to Apple a week later and they said they can’t do anything about it excerpt repair the cheap plastic for $109 or buy Apple care for my brand new iPad and have it roll to the pencil for a $50 cheap plastic fix.

OK, Apple. How about standing by your products? This is clearly a defect in the design of the pencil…just like the 2017 and 2018 Mac Book Pro keyboards that stopped working due to poor design. It took Apple close to a year to fight customers about their keyboard problems and finally give in — reluctantly — to making a 4-year warranty and fixing their design flaw.

Listen up, Apple…get over yourself and stand by your expensive products. Or else you will alienate your loyal customers.

Anyone get these Geniuses to actually admit it’s a flaw?

I would suggest contacting Apple support via the contact support link located at the upper right hand corner of every Webpage of these Apple support communities.

Use the Hardware Repair support category.
